Mission Statement
The purpose of the California Association of Family Empowerment Centers is to provide information, resources, technical assistance, and systems change advocacy to a statewide network of local Family Empowerment Centers (FECs) who provide family education, support, empowerment, advocacy, and parent-professional collaborative activities to families of children with disabilities ages 3-22 years old.

Family Empowerment Centers help children and young people with disabilities grow to be healthy, educated, productive and involved adults by assisting the family in assuring the child a meaningful and appropriate education.

Family Empowerment Centers help save the State money by helping reduce costly litigation and helping parents and school districts resolve disagreements with less conflict.

Family Empowerment centers reach unserved and underserved communities by providing services that are accessible to families regardless of culture, language, finances or disability.
